项目摘要

乳幼児と母親は,どのようにコミュニケーションを成立させているのであろうか。母親は,前言語期の乳児に対して,乳児の意図や行為を「代弁」することで,コミュニケーションを成り立たせているようである。本研究では,母親が乳幼児に対して,「代弁」を行う現象に着目し,その発達的変化を検討する。前年度までの分析によって,「代弁」は4つの形式に整理されている。すなわち,(1)子ども視点型の代弁;子どもの視点から子どもの声であるかのような発話,たとえば,子どもが食事をしているときに「ああ,おいしい」と代弁するもの。(2)母子視点型の代弁;母子の視点からの発話,たとえば,「おいしいねぇ」のように共有体験として発話するもの。(3)あいまい型;子ども視点の発話か母親視点の発話かがあいまいであるもの。(4)移行型;発話の視点が移行するもの,たとえば,子どもを観察者に向けて抱き「こんにちは,って」と発話するものである。今年度は,この分類をもとに,生後0〜9ヶ月の母子のやりとりを分析した。その結果,母親が用いる代弁の総数は,生後0〜9ヶ月まで月齢とともに増加した。月齢ごとの個人差をみると,生後0ヶ月で大きかった個人差が,生後3ヶ月において一時小さくなり,6,9ヶ月でまた大きくなった。また,母親への面接結果と比較すると,代弁が子どもの意図のわかりやすさに関連しており,母親が一方的に代弁しているのではないだろうことが示唆された。一方で,いくつかのケースについては,代弁が生後0〜9ヶ月で増加する平均的なパターンとは異なる増減をするものがあった。そこで,生後6ヶ月になっても代弁が増加しなかった男女1組ずつと,平均的な変化をした男女1組ずつについて,子どもの発声と母親の発話や行為に応じているかどうかを検討する。その結果から,子どもの応答性と母親の代弁のしやすさが示唆された。
