项目摘要

本研究では親子関係を正負双方の側面を持ち合わせたダイナミックなプロセスとしてとらえ、子への否定的感情が母子関係に与えるポジティヴな影響について検討していく。とくに、いわゆる"第一次反抗期"にあたる親子を対象に研究を実施する。本研究の対象となるのは、東京都およびその近郊に在住する母親約40名で、子どもはいずれも第1子である。観察の対象年齢は生後24ヶ月から48ヶ月の予定である。13年度もデータの収集を中心に行った。3ヶ月毎に研究代表者または研究協力者が各家庭を個別に訪問し、母親へ半構造化面接を行った。面接の内容は、子どもに対する肯定的感情および否定的感情が生起したときの状況や、母親なりの解釈など、また現在の育児状況、子どもの発育状況、子どもを通したネットワーク、夫との関係についてである。また"反抗期"について母親自身がどのようにとらえているのかについても質問した。多くの母親たちは反抗期を発達上ではあたりまえに見られるものとしてとらえているが、母親の感じる子どもの反抗の程度(強さ)によって受け止め方に多少の違いが見られることが考えられた。反抗の程度が否定的感情の受け止め方にも影響されることが考えられるので、この後の分析の視点としていくことを検討している。48ヶ月の時点までに、多くの子どもの反抗的行動は減少していたことから、反抗的行動の解消のプロセスを追うことで母子の関係性の変化が捉えられると考える。また対象となった子どものほとんど(保育園に通っている子ども以外)が、13年度より幼稚園に通いはじめたことから、ライフイベントを契機に母子の関係性、母親の子どものとらえ方が変化することも考えられた。
