本研究は、母親が子育てのなかで当たり前に経験する感情として、子どもに対する不快感情を取り上げ、親としての適応プロセスについて検討することを目的としている。研究の対象となるのは、東京都および近郊に在住の母親42名で、3ヶ月ごとに、各家庭を訪問し、母親への面接を行った。本研究ではおもに生後2年目までに得られたデータを中心に検討する。分析のおもな対象となるのは、面接における質問「お子さんのことをイヤになることがありますか」に対する母親の語りである。前年度は生後2年目の「イヤになること」の語りの特徴として、子どもの自己主張・反抗に関する語りがあることを指摘した。2004年度は、母親が子どもの自己主張・反抗をどのようにとらえているのかについて検討するために、36ヶ月時に行った反抗期に関する質問に対する語りを分析した。まず反抗期のとらえ方について分類し、面接時の自己主張・反抗の状態との関連から、反抗期のとらえ方の変化(プロセス)とイヤになることとの関連について検討した。母親は子どもの反抗期を、「今だけ」などと発達のプロセスの中の一時点としてとらえたり、他児の様子、育児書などで一般にいわれていること、過去の我が子の様子など何かと比較してとらえたりしていた。この分析の結果を、2004年9月に行われた、日本心理学会第68回大会にて発表した。また、フォローアップの調査を、2004年5月〜6月にかけて行った。調査の内容は、小学校に入学前後の子どもの変化、母親自身の変化などについてである。今回得たデータは、分析の補助資料として使用する。<予算との関係>逐語録作成のテープ起しのためのアルバイト代、分析のためのパソコンソフト、ダビング用ビデオテープ、カセットテープ、質問紙の郵送代などとして計上、使用した。
