项目摘要

本研究の目的は、主として中国の甘粛省臨夏回族自治州積石山保安族東郷族撤拉族自治県大河家郷甘河灘村、大〓村等に居住している保安族12,212人(1990年)が話しているモンゴル系の言語、保安語積石山方言を危機言語の観点からフィールド調査を行ったうえで、その調査結果を公刊することにある。この保安語積石山方言は、言語資料が乏しいことに加え、近年若年層を中心に漢語化が著しく、今すぐに消滅するという危険性はないが、遅かれ早かれ消滅の可能性がある言語である。そのため、詳細な調査が求められている。本年度は、平成12年8月に甘粛省臨夏回族自治州積石山保安族東郷族撤拉族自治県大河家郷にておこなった現地調査に基づき、2つの調査報告書を公刊した。ひとつめは、「保安語積石山方言の調査報告」である。ここでは、保安語積石山方言の社会言語学的情報、積石山方言の下位方言を形成する大〓村と甘河灘村それぞれの現況、基礎語彙200語と例文、そして今後の課題を示した。もうひとつは、「保安族の民族文化保安腰刀」である。ここでは、保安族の民族文化を代表する保安腰刀についてことばを通じて、保安腰刀の歴史、名称・形態・民俗分類、保安腰刀について語られた保安語のテキスト、今後の課題を示した。これらのなかには、従来ほとんどわかっていなかったこと、あるいは断片的にしか知られていなかったものなどが含まれている。これらの調査報告書は、甘粛省臨夏回族自治州積石山保安族東郷族撤拉族自治県大河家郷にも送付しているが、大きな反響を得ている。現在、調査した内容はさらに整理中である。平成13年8月にも現地調査を予定しており、その調査結果をとあわせて、今後も報告書として公刊していく予定である。
