非有界なスピンを持つ格子模型(例えばφ^4-格子場)について以下のような結果を得た;・高温での対数Sobolev不等式の成立・次の3条件の同値性:(1)スピン相関の指数減衰,(2)Glauber dynamicsに関するspactral gapの存在,(3)Glauber dynamicsに関する対数Sobolev不等式の成立,(4)Glauber dynamicsに関するある種の一様性を持った各点収束。少し別の方向の研究として以下のようなものに取り組んだ。液体を固体表面においたとき、それぞれの物性に応じて濡れ方が異なる。この「濡れ転移」と呼ばれる物理現象の数学的理解を目指した。1次元ランダムウォークを0以上の値をとるように条件付け、更に0との間に吸引的相互作用を導入する。このとき、相互作用が転移点以下(非局在相:「完全濡れ」の状態)と転移点より大きいとき(局在相:「部分濡れ」の状態)それぞれでランダムウォークの軌跡の巨視的状況を記述する極限定理を導出した。極限として得られた確率過程は固体表面の水滴の形に対応する。
