项目摘要

研究者は、歌を集合的記憶ととらえ、唱和を身体的共同想起と捉えて、そのような共同想起の構造と共同想起を引き起こす装置を明らかにすることを目的としている(「歌」にはいわゆる既存の歌だけでなく、かけ声や挨拶、はやしことばなど固定的なパターンが集合的記憶として集団に内在するものも含む)。本年度は、昨年度に続いて、以下のことを明らかにした。1 唱和がよく生起するクラスは、そのクラスの担任保育者が日常的に良く既存の歌を口ずさむこと(モデルとしての役割)の他に、次のような特徴が見られる。いろいろな動作に伴ってオノマトペをよく発話すると共に、子どもの自発的なオノマトペにすぐ唱和する。オノマトペはそれ自体、韻律的な等価性が高いので、オノマトペの繰り返しは韻律的等価性が非常に高い言葉の反復になり、それが身体的ノリを生み出し、身体的同調を引き起こすと考えられる。このような身体的ノリの共有の積み重ねによって集団の人間関係が形成されているクラスでは、ある子どもが歌い出すと、すぐに他の子ども達も唱和する。しかし、身体的ノリの共有の蓄積が希薄な場合、自発的に歌う子どもがいても、唱和は生起しにくい。2 昔話などの語り聞かせの最中や、その直後に唱和が生じやすいのは、昔話の言語構造が、身体的ノリを生み出す構造になっているためである。昔話は統辞的、韻律的に等価性の高い言葉の反復が多い。このような言語構造が身体的同調を引き起こすのである。もちろんテキストの言語構造だけによるのではなく、保育者の語りが、この言語構造によって生み出される身体的ノリを活かしていることが必要である。
