项目摘要

[1]利用者の状況に応じた動的な地図生成Webから京都に関して述べられたコンテンツを30万件程度収集し、地理情報の抽出により当該コンテンツの地理的な位置を求めた。次に、コンテンツ間の相互関連を導出し、個々のコンテンツについてその記述の影響が広範囲・局所的である、ランドマーク的な存在であるなどの分類を行った。また、コンテンツの意味解析によって、各地物の特性によってその地物に用いられる「〜前」や「〜の近く」などの前置詞の使用頻度を求めた。以上の解析結果を本研究のシステムに反映することにより、たとえば、非常に近接したランドマークである「京都駅(広域な影響力)」や「京都タワー(局所的な影響力)」をキーワードとする地理情報検索がなされた際に、利用者が希望する検索範囲や、目的の地理情報の種類が何であるかを推測するようなシステムの構築を行った。[2]地理的制約に基づく地理情報検索利用者の現在位置から物理距離が最も近い地理情報を検索するのではなく、河川や道路の制約および利用者の状況(夕食を希望しているなど)を考慮しながら利用者と対話を行うことで、最適な地図生成質問を導出するシステムの開発を行った。[3]モバイル向けキャッシュアルゴリズム記憶容量の制限が厳しいPDAによる地理情報検索では、利用者が将来必要とする情報を予測し前読み込みしなければならない一方で、読み込み済みの情報であっても再利用される可能性がある。地理情報システムではLRU等の一般的なキャッシュアルゴリズムは適用しにくい。そこで、既に購入済みの商店情報は削除するが、未購入の商店情報はその前を通過した後でもキャッシュに残すといった、利用者の現在位置や進行方向、行動目的、周囲状況などを考慮したキャッシュ入れ換え手法を開発した。
