项目摘要

(1) 文化資料館運営等の英文資料作成のため、昨年度開催した研究会の諸報告と、亀岡市文化資料館の農具資料冊子、運営意義に関する論文などを英文翻訳した。大西はNPO「プロジェクト保津川」を拠点に亀岡市でのコミュージアム準備のため調査に取り組み、ネットワーク形成に取り組んだ。(2) ラオス国立大学農学部ラオス伝統農具博物館のデーターベース作を継続し、関連業績を安藤が中心となり、在地の技術や在地の知恵の意義を論じた諸論文を他の共同研究者とともに東南アジア研究所報告書シリーズ(ラオス語)で発表した。ミャンマー・イエジン農業大学のKhin Lay Sweは安藤との共同研究により、ミャンマーの伝統農具に関する現地語図書の英語翻訳を完成し、現地での農具調査結果を報告書(英語)にまとめた。(3)ネパールの農具調査については、熱帯生態学会で安藤がポスター発表を行なった。安藤は、インドのアルナチャールプラデシュ州のモンパ族(チベット語族)、アッサム州の農具を調査し、現地の博物館を訪問し、関係者と意見交換を行なった。アッサム州、アルナチャールプラデシュ州の調査成果を熱帯農業学会で発表した。バングラデシュでは安藤がDakshin Chamuria村のNGOであるJRDSとともに、伝統文化復興を柱とした新たな農村開発アプローチのアクション・プログラムを実施した。ブータンでは河合が現地調査を行い、放送大学の紀要にその成果の一部を発表した。Hl9年度に予定していたネパール、チベット、ミャンマーでの調査は、チッベト、ミャンマー両国の政治状況のため同地域での調査を中止し、アルナチャールプラデシュとバングラデシュ、ブータンに現地調査を集中した。尚、奥山は、チベット仏教の伝播と人の移動等に関して文献研究を進めていて、河口慧海に関する業績はその一環である。(4)文化資料館を核とする住民参加型農村開発手法は、開発途上国では今後の村つくりに必須となるアプローチである。本研究の全体計画のすべて終えることが諸事情でできなかったが、8割の目標を遂行することができたと総括でき、今後は本研究の成果である亀岡市、旧京都府美山町(現南丹市)、バングラデシュ、ラオス、インド、大学、NGO、NPOとのネットワークをいかし、人、情報が相互に往来するアクション・プログラムを作成し、翻訳された資料や、調査データーベースの具体的な活用をはかる。そのために、実践型農村開発研究計画を具体化する科研や民間研究助成などに応募していく予定である。
