平成20年度は、当科研費の最終年度として、2008年2月28日・29日にベトナムのホーチミン市国家大学社会人文科学大学(以下、USSH)で実施した「教育・学習セミナー」の成果と残された課題を比較教育学会(2008年6月、於:東北大学)の自由研究発表にて総括した。発表者はUSSHの客員として執行部と協同し、当セミナーの企画・実施を担当した。同セミナーに寄せられたベトナム人参加者の意見からはいくつかの特徴が読み取れる。第一は、「わかりやすく授業をしてほしい」、「優秀な学生をほめてほしい」「学生向けサービスを改善してほしい」など、日本の欧米の大学でもよくみられる学生の「顧客意識」と「受け身」姿勢である。ベトナムの特定大学における教員・学生のコメントでありながら、その大部分は日本の大学と比較しても大差ない。第二は、現状の授業内容・方法について教員も学生も多くの不満を抱えており、具体的な解決策を求めていることである。第三に、それにもかかわらず、大学側から満足のいく回答や対応をいまだ十分に得られていない。また、ベトナムにおいて大学教授法セミナーなどを展開する上で、ベトナムにおける教育の現状を把握する必要があることが明らかとなった。そこで、平成20年度の大部分は2005年に全面改訂されたベトナム教育法の翻訳作業に費やした。同改訂教育法の日本語版は2009年5月に刊行予定であり、その詳細については平成21年度の日本比較教育学会(2009年6月、於:東京学芸大学)で発表する予定である。これにより、ベトナムの実情に即した大学教授法研修プログラムを開発することが可能となった。
