项目摘要

ツインマザースクラブの会員の親2733名に自記式質問紙を郵送、回答のあった1428名への追跡調査として、追跡可能であった958名に質問紙を郵送し516名から回答を得た。回答結果については、ロジスティク解析を用いて数理科学的に分析した。特に双生児の親密性と宇宙語との関連について検討した。親密性得点については、一卵性男ペアと一卵性女ペアは、二卵性男ペアに比較して、また一卵性女ペアは、二卵性女ペアと比較して親密性得点が有意に高い傾向が見られた。また、一卵性女ペアは、二卵性女ペアと比較して親密性得点が有意に高かった。各領域の得点を分析した結果、「所有物」、「共同防衛」の得点については、グループ間の平均値に有意な差異は見られなかった。有意な差異が見られたのは、「行動」、情緒」、「共同参加」の項目であった。(1)「行動」:二卵性女ペア、一卵性男ペア、一卵性女ペアは、二卵性男ペアに比較して、また、一卵性男ペア、一卵性女ペアは、二卵性女ペアと比較して有意に行動面での結びつきが強かった。(2)「情緒:一卵性男ペア、一卵性女ペアは、二卵性男ペアに比較して有意に情緒面での結びつきが強い傾向が見られた。(3)「共同参加」:一卵性男ペア、一卵性女ペアは、二卵性男女ペアと比較して、また、一卵性男ペアは、二卵性男ペアと比較して有意に共同参加の意識が強い傾向が見られた。Twin Languageと双生児の親密性に関して、双生児の年齢、性別、卵性、社会環境(兄姉、弟妹、祖父母の有無、保育園や幼稚園に通っているかどうか)によって数値を補正し、ロジステック回帰分析を行った結果、情緒的な結びつきが強い双生児はそうでないペアと比較して2.975倍Twin Languageを話していたことが判明した。「宇宙語」現象については、双生児間の情緒的なつながりが問題解決能力の向上やストレスコーピングにつながるなど将来的に強みとなる可能性もある。しかし、あくまでも、宇宙語発生を予防し、母語の発達を促進するという観点からは、双生児間の情緒的なつながりが強くなりすぎないように配慮し、例えば保育園や幼稚園に通わせるなど、他の大人や子供との関係性を築く機会を多く持たせることが重要であることが考えられる。
