项目摘要

経験科学としての心理学においては、調査や実験などの方法によりデータを入手し、それらを処理することによって、法則性を見い出すのが一般的方法である。本研究もそうした観点にたち、心理測定の分野でデータ処理を行う場合に、ファジイ理論を適用してデータ処理を行うこと、すなわち、ファジイ統計学を適用することの可能性を論じた。まず、ファジイ理論についての概略をまとめ、それを統計学、なかでも多変量解析の基本的手法である、重回帰分析、判別分析、因子分析などに適用し、従来の方法を拡張する形で、ファジイ重回帰分析、ファジイ判別分析、ファジイ因子分析等のアルゴリズムを展開した。そして、ただ計算方式を示すのみではデータ処理に活用することは出来ないので、実際にコンピュータプログラミングを行い、実用化の方向を検討した。作成されたプログラムのデバッグは既存の定評あるアプリケーションSASを用いて行った。具体的データとしては、研究代表者を中心に進めている海洋志向性に関する調査データに適用し、日本-ドイツの大学生の海や船のイメージについての分析(ブラウンシュバイク工科大学、心理学研究室と共同研究)に応用した。さらに、スエーデンの大学生のデータをも入手し(ストックホルム大学心理学研究室と共同研究)、日本-スエーデンとの相違についての検討も行った。研究成果はファジイ理論に関する部分については、国際ファジイ学会(IFSA:International Fuzzy System Association)で、海洋志向性の部分については日本心理学会、日本航海学会で報告された。
