项目摘要

産業構造の転換に伴い、資本主義的な開発の波が都市内部に押し寄せ、都市景観の破壊が急速に進行している。本研究では、開発と保存のダイナミックスが錯綜する歴史都市を対象として、個性的な景観形成の原理を探究するための都市景観シミュレーションの方法の開発をめざして、次のような研究を展開した。1.都市景観の多層構造モデルの探究開発と保存のダイナミックスをとらえるためには、場所性、歴史性と同時に、現代に生きる都市としての活力を考慮した都市性を発見していく必要がある。そこで、歴史都市の景観を、場所性・歴史性・経済性・文化性等の深層構造と、現れとしての景観の表層構造とを重ね合わせてみる多層構造モデルの定式化を行った。2.マルチメディアシステムによる都市景観のデータベース化(1)多層構造モデルに基づいて、これまでに収集した200カ所の日本の歴史的街並みの景観について、マルチメディアシステムを利用した都市景観のデータベースを作成した(Macintosh Quadra840AV上のHyperCardを利用)。(2)ビデオ映像や音声を含むマルチメディアシステムによる都市景観のデータベース化の方法を開発した。3.都市景観のシミュレーション・システムの開発(1)開発と保存の論理の立て方によって、都市景観がどのように変化するかをシミュレートする方法の開発を進めた(Photoshopによるモンタージュ、MiniCADによるシミュレーションなどを利用)。(2)歴史都市・京都をケーススタディの対象として、都市計画法や相続税等の社会的制度、屋根勾配・スケール・色彩・素材などの景観のコードのあり方を検討するために、基礎的な資料を収集した。
