1.初年度には、福祉科教職課程の実態、とくに福祉科教育法の指導者及び指導内容に焦点を当てたアンケート調査を行った。これにより創設期の高等学校福祉科教職課程の実態を把握し、山積する課題と解決の方向を明らかにすることができた。その成果は、日本福祉教育・ボランティア学習学会の紀要第8号に論文を発表した。2.福祉科教育実習を、実習指導と福祉科教員の研修と教育実践研究とを兼ねる場として研究的に組織した。その試みと成果の一端は、日本教師教育学会上越大会において口頭発表した。また、日本福祉教育・ボランティア学習学会富山大会において、本研究課題についての継続的な研究を行う課題別研究グループを組織した。3.研究代表者の勤務校である日本社会事業大学を拠点とし、福祉科教育法と教育実習との関連を重視して、2年間にわたる高大連携による研究プロジェクトを組織し、実践的な教育研究の萌芽を形成することができた。初年度には、複数の福祉科高等学校を訪問し、学習指導資料の収集とともに授業ビデオのライブラリーを作成した。最終年度には、勤務校の教育実習の事前・事中・事後指導において、それらの成果を実験的に活用し、『教育実習のてびき』と『教育実習の記録』の改訂に反映させた。4.高等学校福祉科教員養成課程の充実に向けて、有益な情報を集積する拠点と関係者のネットワークが構築できた。今後は共同研究プロジェクトへと継続・発展させ、『福祉科教育実践研究読本』の完成に向けた作業の段階に入る。2年間の研究成果は『平成14-15年度文科省科研費報告書・高等学校福祉科教員養成課程の充実に資する福祉科教育実践研究読本の開発』にまとめ、福祉科教職課程を置く全国の96大学に発送した。
