本年度の研究成果は以下のとおりである。1 幸若舞曲「八島」に関連する絵画の調査、研究を昨年度までに一応終了させ、その成果を、論文「幸若舞曲『八島』とその絵画」にまとめて、大和文華館の刊行する学術雑誌「大和文華」誌上において公表した。17世紀はじめごろに描かれた新出作例の紹介をしつつ、16世紀末から17世紀前半にかけての版本挿絵も含む「八島」関連絵画の比較を行い、その図様の展開を考察した。大和文華館所蔵の、「八島」に関連する絵巻の調査を平成15年度に行っており、その考察も含む内容であったため、論文を同雑誌に掲載した。2 幸若舞曲「大織冠」に関連する絵画の調査を続行した。平成17年8月に鈴鹿の寺院所蔵の未紹介の屏風の調査を行ったが、その制作時期は19世紀にまでさがるものと判断した。3 平成17年6月に、兵庫個人蔵「大織冠図屏風」に、様式・図様ともに近似する「南蛮屏風」が新出し、九州国立博物館に所蔵されたのを機に、その調査を3回にわたって行った。かつて兵庫個人蔵の「大織冠図屏風」を紹介した際に、「南蛮屏風」という別主題と図様的に近いことは気づいていたが、図様ばかりでなく様式も近い作例の出現によって、近世初期の正系狩野派における幸若舞主題の屏風と南蛮屏風が、きわめて近い制作環境において描かれていたことが実証された。
