项目摘要

質問において観察しうる事象と学ぶ意欲との関係を調査した。その結果、質問に含まれる、ある固有の分野における専門的な用語(ドメインターム)が使われる特徴と学ぶ意欲とが関係するであろうことが予想できた。それは以下のような関係である。1.ドメインタームの量:使われるドメインタームの量が多いほど質問者の学ぶ意欲は高い2.ドメインタームの分布:様々な分野に関するドメインタームが使われているほど質問者の学ぶ意欲は高い3.ドメインタームの複雑度:概念的に複雑度の高いドメインタームが使われているほど質問者の学ぶ意欲は高いこれらの関係を質問の評価指標として、これらの関係をコンピュータを用いて可視化するプロトタイプ・システムを設計・開発した。プロトタイプを以下の2つのステップで開発した。なお、現段階でのドメインは、平成15年度の研究において作成した高等学校の新課程における生物I・IIおよび化学I・IIを対象とした(1)用語集、(2)用語間の関係図とを利用するため、生物I・IIおよび化学I・IIとする。まず、(1)を用いて、実際の質問に含まれるドメインタームを抽出するプログラムを開発した。次に抽出したドメインタームの上述した3つの関係をグラフ化するプログラムを開発した。ここではさらに以下の3つのステップで開発を進めた。まず3つの関係を二次元でグラフ化できるよう、二軸を設定した。横軸は、生物I・IIおよび化学I・IIのそれぞれの教科書の章で区切り、それぞれの章の区間内をさらに5段階に分け、右に行くほど概念的に複雑度の高いドメインタームであると定義した。縦軸は質問に含まれる横軸に該当するドメインタームの個数とした。次に、章ごとに出てくる用語(ドメインターム)を概念的な複雑度に応じて5段階に分類した。最後に、抽出されたドメインタームがどの章のどの段階のものかを検索し、各章の各段階ごとに数え上げて棒グラフにするプログラムを開発した。今後は実用化へ向けて、(1)ドメインタームの概念的な複雑度を自動的に計測し、様々な分野に適用できるようにする、(2)質問によってどれだけの情報が他者から獲得できる可能性があるかを推定する方法を開発する、といった研究が必要である。
