YAMANOUCHI, Sugao (1901-1970) was one of the greatest Japanese archaeologists, who had built the frame work of the Japanese archaeology, Especially in the field of the chronological study of the Jomon pottery.Through the study of the books that he collected, and his huge collection of archaeological materials, it is assuredly possible for us to estimate his roll appropriately in the history of Japanese Archaeology. His personal library catalogue and the 1st volume of Study on Jomon Pottery of Yamanouchi collection ( Tado, Angyo and Fukuda K Types ) are now in preparation.

山之内须高（1901-1970）是日本最伟大的考古学家之一，他建立了日本考古学的框架，尤其是在绳纹陶器年代学方面。通过对他所收藏的书籍和大量考古资料的研究，我们可以对他在日本考古学史上的地位作出适当的估计。他的个人图书馆目录和第一卷的研究绳纹陶器山之内收藏（多户，安桥和福田K型）现在正在准备中。
