项目摘要

本研究では,全体社会および各種の集団・組織を社会システムの範疇でとられ,一方,文化システムを情報や知識等の観念の総体(=シンボル・システム)とする操作的定義のもとで作業を行った。一.事例として取上げた名古屋都市圏は,各種統計資料をもとに,直接の相互行為圏(通勤・通学圏,購売圏,医療圏,映画・演劇観賞圏etc.)としての指標を設定した結果,中心部から30キロ圏が相対的に自足した社会システムとして仮定される。一.最近十数年の高校卒業生の進学流動率の分析を上記の分析と併序して行った結果,名古屋圏が吸引力を有しているのは,愛知県の他は岐阜,三重の一部にすぎず,北陸三県と近畿地方は,まったく別の圏域に属することが明らかになった。また,東京を中心とする南関東圏の吸引力がわずかながら低下しつつあり、高卒者の移動に関しては東京一極集中の傾向が変化しつつあるといえる。一.しかし他方で、情報の発信・生産量は,東京集中が一層顕在化しつつある。とりわけ,電気通信系のマス・メディア(とくにテレビ放送)の情報発信率は,量的にも構造的にも東京を中心とした階層構造が形成されている。一.世界社会レベルでは、アメリカを中心とした欧米諸国の発信情報量が日本を大きく上まわっている(日米比:約4:1)。一.パーソナル・メディアによる情報やマス・メディアでも活字メディアや空間系メディアの情報構造は,電波メディアのものとは異なっており,基盤となる社会システムとの関連が強い。一.以上から,文化の上位システムと下位システムの関連をみるためには,情報の質について,すなわち文化の構造分析・要素分析が同時に行われなければならないことも明らかになった。
