本研究の目的は、農民家族に対する堕胎、間引き防止策であると同時に出産管理策でもある仙台藩の赤子養育制度を手がかりに、女性の「産む」身体への管理の始まりが「子産み」や「産む」身体に対する意識にどのような歴史的変化を及ぼすのか、そこに内包された多様な意味や歴史的変化のメカニズムを「産む」身体の語られ方を通して明らかにすることにあった。とくに本年度は、農民の「子産み」や「産む」身体と、それに対する支配層の管理が接触しあうところで生み出された史料群である(1)赤子養育制度のなかでつくられた史料群(養育料支給願いと死胎被露者)と、(2)農民の日常生活と大きな関わりを持って普及した「子産み」や「産む」身体をめぐる民間処方の写本という、「子産み」と「産む」身体をめぐり表裏の関係をなす二つの性格の異なる史料群を手がかりとした。前者の制度に関わる史料群は今まで、その存在は知られていたものの分析の対象とはされてこなかった。また後者の史料群も民衆の「子産み」や「産む」身体への願望や不安と密接なつながりをもつ民衆の生活や心のありようを示すものとして分析の対象とされることはほとんどなかった史料群である。なお仙台藩東山南方の村々(現岩手県東磐井郡)をフィールドとし農民家族の日常生活との関わりで考えるという方法を採った。分析の結果、藩による支配のなかで「子産み」や「産む」身体の管理の責任が胎教という形で女性に課せられていくこと、一方農民にとって「子産み」は男女双方が関わるものであり、また胎教と実際の「子産み」のあいだの危険を埋めるものとしての処方を手にし、胎児や赤子の生命を実現するなどの変化もあられわてきていた。今後は「産む」身体の当事者である女自身の意志や利害について、女の手になる記述の発堀とともに追手したい。

The purpose of this research is to explore the abortion and abortion prevention policies for farmers 'families, as well as the production management policies and the Sendai Prefecture's child rearing system, and to explore the changes in the history of the management of women's "maternity" bodies. This is the first time that we've had a chance to talk to each other. The latter group of historical materials includes the people's "child production" and "production", the body's desire, the anxiety, the close connection, the people's life, the heart, the object of analysis, and the historical materials group. From now on, the person involved in the "birth" body will be the woman's own will, the interest, the woman's hand, the description, the development, and the pursuit.
