Following the Vocabulary of Lingala published in 1993, a vocabulary of Nande was compiled this year with the data obtained through fieldworks in previous years. Nande is a Bantu language (J.42) spoken in the eastern part of Zaire. The compilation procedure is as follows.First, the data were put in a computer making a text file, i.e.a file composed only of letters available on the keyboard. Then this text file were processed in order to have it printed with normal phonetic symbols, with the help of a printing program prepared independently.Nande is a farely difficult language to treat with a computer because of its phonetic characters using j(close i) and U(close u) combined with tone marks. One of the merits of using text files is that as such they can be used for computer inquiry.With examples of Lingala and Nande, the Bantu languages of Africa prove to be easily treated with computers.

继1993年出版的《林加拉语词汇》之后，今年又根据前几年实地考察所得的资料编写了《南德语词汇》。南德语是扎伊尔东部使用的班图语（J.42）。编译过程如下。首先，这些数据被放入计算机中，形成一个文本文件，即一个仅由键盘上可用的字母组成的文件。然后，在独立编写的打印程序的帮助下，对该文本文件进行处理，使其具有正常的音标。南德语是一种很难用计算机处理的语言，因为它的音标是由j（接近i）和U（接近U）结合音调标记组成的。使用文本文件的优点之一是它们可以用于计算机查询。以林加拉语和南德语为例，非洲班图语被证明很容易用计算机处理。
