企業文化の国際比較を行なうことを意図した。企業文化とは組織メンバーの共有する価値観、意見決定パタン、行動パタンである。これらの多くは外から見えないために、調査は困難である。しかし企業の戦略と業績とに大きな影興を與える。1.日本での調査.(1)文献による調査、訪問調査を行った。 (2)日本の企業約100社に1000枚のアンケートを配り、47社より約400の回答を得た。これをコンピュタで分析する。 (3)経済雑誌の記者に同じ企業の企業文化の評価を依頼し、上記の内部の記述と比較する。 (4)これによって企業文化の類型化、業績との関係を分析する。活性化した企業文化がすぐれた戦略と業績を生むことを実證する。2.アメリカでの調査ピッツバーグ大学の経営大学院のSlevin教授及び大学院生のPitts氏の協力をえて、アメリカの企業の調査を行いつつあり、すでに7社に400枚の調査票を送り、100枚の回収をえてこれより分析を行なう。Bemidji大学のSheela教授も同様の調査を行ないつつある。3.インドでの調査.インド生産性本部(National Productivity Council)の教育部長 O.P.Gupta 氏の協力を得て、インドの企業10社以上に調査票を配布し、調査をする予定である。調査の準備は非常に早く行ったのであるが、調査対象の性質上、又外国の研究者の協力を必要としたために、分析が遅れている。
