接空間上の基本関数、つまりラグランジュ関数L(x,y)がyについて正斉次性をもたない場合に、いかに合理的にフィンスラータイプの接続を決定するかということを研究した。1991年に京都大学のジャーナルに「一般ラグランジュ関数の微分幾何学」という論文を発表したが、そこでの理論をさらに発展させた。同じ雑誌に「共形幾何学と射影幾何学における不変接続」という論文が掲載された。一方では、(α,β)計量に関する徳島大学の一條氏の論文があり、我々の研究と深く係わっていることがわかって、彼の研究について調べた。非線形接続をあらかじめ決めておいて、それを利用してフィンスラー接続を決定するという方法であって、我々の方法と同じようである。(α,β)計量の場合に、彼の示した非線形接続は共形的に不変になっており、共形幾何学の研究にとって好都合である。我々はこの方向でも研究をつづけるが、まだ、新しい結果を出すまではいたっていない。彼の論文を理解するところで終った。日本学工院のプロシーディングに、1992年に掲載された「3次元空間での平衡ベクトルポテンシャル」において、ポテンシャル論における平衡ポテンシャルに対して平衡ベクトルポテンシャルの概念を導入した。これは電気力学のコンデンサーに対してソレノイドを考察することによって生じる。2次元トーラス上にコイルを巻き、電流を流すと磁場が誘導される。電流の強さを一定としたとき、この電流によって誘導される磁場が平衡ベクトルポテンシャルである。さらに一般に、解析的に滑らかな閉曲面とそれによって囲まれた領域に対して平衡流密度とそれによって誘導される平衡ベクトルポテンシャルの概念を定義した。
