はじめ前年からの行列のJordan標準形への変換のプログラムを完成した。目標とした問題解決については、まず絶対剰余連分数に関係のあると見られる半正則な連分数が、O.Perronの著書(1954)に取扱われていること、そして自然対数の底eの2乗などの数の連分数展開の規則性も解決されていて、そこに記述があることが、岩橋氏、岡野氏によって知らされた。その後購入できたW.Leveque編の数論の文献総覧により、2次無理数の近似分数とニュートン近似の関係も研究されていることがわかり、京大数理解析研究所で文献復写ができた。現在、G.Lochs等が円周率πの連分数展開を968項まで行って項の相乗平均がヒンチンの定数(2.685550・・・)にどの位近いか調べた結果を拡張するため、橋本氏の協力によって、πの高精度な連分数展開のプログラム(小島誠氏製作)の解読につとめている。なお、山本氏からはJordan標準形への変換プログラムにかんして変換の方法と近縁の標準形とについての文献を入手してもらった。また、宮原氏からは、ペル方程式についての関心と発言によって研究の出発点で動機づけを与えられた。

The Jordan standard shape of the previous year was changed to complete the list. The purpose of this paper is to solve the problem of semi-regular continuous fractions in the book of O.Perron (1954). A Review of the Literature on Number Theory, edited by W.Leveque, A Study on the Relationship between the Approximate Fractions and the Approximation of Quadratic Irrationals, A Review of the Literature on Number Theory, edited by Institute of Mathematical Analysis, Beijing University Now, G.Lochs et al., 968 terms of continuous fraction expansion of cycle rate π, phase average of line term (2.68550··), close to the middle of the adjustment result, Hashimoto's cooperation, high precision continuous fraction expansion of π (Seiki Kojima), solution of the problem. The method of transformation of Jordan standard form and the literature of transformation of Jordan standard form are discussed. Miyahara's equation is the starting point of research.
