今期の研究目標は解析写像の研究であるが、具体的には二つの問題を設定していた。その1は、C^2の代数的写像の研究であり、その2は、乗法公式を持つ解析写像の研究である。その成果であるが、先ず第一の課題については、その一般的な解決には至っていないものの、基礎的な問題についていくつかの進展があった。それを列挙すると次の通りである。1.Schwarzの補題の多変数への拡張のみによるPoincareの写像定理の初等的な証明。2.C^2における代数曲線の特異点を通常2重点のみに変形するための、Cousin問題の解を使う解析的な手法の確立。3.C^n上に実現されている代数的な多葉領域上に1変数代数関数論を使って有理型関数を構成する手段の確立。4.連続解を持つようなCousin第2問題の解析解を求める問題が直接Cousin第1問題に帰着されることの証明。これらの成果は本研究のためばかりではなく、一般多変数関数論の基礎を整理する上にも重要と思われるので、以前に得られているSheaf理論の一部の簡略化と共にまとめて発表するつもりである。次に第二の課題についてであるが、これについては、C^nにおけるPoincare-Picardの写像で、ある程度多くの方向を持つ直線の像が代数的な曲線になる場合は、その写像そのものが代数的になることが明らかにされた。又、座標軸を固定するようなPoincare-Picardの写像については、更に特殊な場合に面白い問題があることがわかり、その場合を除いては一応の解決が得られた。残された問題は今後の課題である。
