本年度は、社会の国際化時代に向け、学校のカリキュラムの未来像を、実際の教材開発に関わって研究を進めた。そのために、東京にある国立の研究機関や教育開発協議会、国際理解教育情報センターなどの実践的な研究機関などを訪問し、資料の収集を進めた。また、個性化教育を進める学校において社会の国際化がいかなる影響を与えてきたのか、そしのその実践形態はいかなるものなのか、学校調査をとおして検討を進めた。以上のような資料収集と観察の結果、学校の現場で、また社会教育の現場で、開発途上国の諸問題を扱う開発教育が、国際理解教育の重要な役割を担っていることが明確になってきた。開発教育においては、道徳的なドグマを注入したり、ある一定の価値観を教え込むことではなく、認知的な推論の訓練を経て、激しく移り変わる国際社会の中で生き抜くための創造的な力を養う教育プログラムの構成に力が向けられている。例えば、大津和子氏の開発教育の実践は、単なる知識の注入にとどまららず、子供達が自発的に国際社会の仕組みを理解へと結び付ける重要な試金石をなっている。本研究においては、価値的な認知の枠組みの発達を促す新しい教材づくりに向けて、以上のような実験的な試みを評価し、その実践を他の領域において応用する可能性を検討し、英語の研究論文として発表した。今後、このような試験的研究を基に共同研究を進める計画を持っている。

In the future, we will continue to carry out joint research on the basis of this pilot project.
