フランスにおける近代的教授職の成立という観点から、ロラン・デルスヴィルを中心とするパリ高等法院主導のコレージュ改革を考察することにより、以下の諸点について新たな知見が得られた。1.イエズス会追放に伴うコリージュ改革を契機に顕在化した高等法院と大学の教授職観の相違および改革の施行の考察により、従来聖職禄の一環であった教授職に代わり世俗性、俸給制、階層性、名誉退職制を特色とする近代的キャリアーとしての教授職が出現したこと。2.パリ大学自由学芸学部ルイ・ル・グラン・コレージュの給費制度改革および教授養成機関化に関する考察により、伝統的な私的・見習い奉公的訓練に基づく自家培養的教授養成に代わり、学業成績に基づき王国全体の教授養成を視野に入れた組織的・全学部的教授養成機関が創出されたこと。3.コンク-ル・ダグレガシヨンの発足に関する考察により、土木職団等の職団に見られる家産制からメリトクラシー制への移行と同一線上において、コンク-ルによる教授の選任、教授としての知的・技術的能力の規範の確立、ひいては、知的側面における教授の専門職化が遂行されたこと。4.オラトリオ会、ベネディクト会等、すでにこの時期には、主たる教育修道会が知的職業人の訓練機関、就中、世俗的教師の団体へと変貌しており、これら修道会の教師団としての団体意識が「帝国大学」の団体意識に継受されたと考えうること。以上、世俗的キャリアー、専門的再生産機構、メリトクラシー、ならびに全国的規模の職団意識の成立という点において、19世紀フランスにおける近代的教授の職団の原型が、すでに大革命前夜に素描されていることが明らかになった。
