This study is an actural research of oral instruction. Oral instruction is considered to develop from two different backgrounds : (1) a communicative means through speech sounds and gestures in preliterate societies and (2) an educational methods in Japanese traditional performing arts. This study focuses on the latter aspect of oral instruction, referring to perfoming arts in Shinto ritual held in (1) Mamehiko Shrine, Nara, (2) Kamikamokawa-Sumiyoshi Shrine, Yashiro, (3) Kushihiki Shirine, Yamagata, and so on.This study clalifies that performing arts in Shinto ritural is very simple and has very few actions, and these have some paticular Kata (forms). When this Kata is succeeded as the paticular and strict forms, oral instruction is and efficient and appropriate method.

本研究是一项口语教学的实证研究。口语教学的发展有两个不同的背景：（1）在文字出现之前，口语教学是一种通过语音和手势进行交流的手段;（2）在日本传统的表演艺术中，口语教学是一种教育方法。本研究的重点是后一方面的口授，以（1）奈良奈良真彦神社、（2）八代上川住吉神社、（3）山形串彦神社等地的神道仪式中的表演艺术为研究对象，阐明神道仪式中的表演艺术非常简单，动作很少，而且有一些特殊的形。当此形作为特殊而严格的形式成功时，口头指导是有效而适当的方法。
