项目摘要

代数曲面Xについて、Xの一次元以上の整係数ホモロジー群が自明であるときXをホモロジー平面と言う。小平次元が1以下のホモロジー平面についてはいろいろなことがしられているが、一般型(小平次元2)のホモロジー平面についてはまだ十分な結果は得られていない。今までに一般型のホモロジー平面の重要な性質として、Xは有理曲面であること、また相対的極小曲面であることがわかっていた。従ってXを調べるのにX上の有理曲線のファミリーを用いることは有効であると思われる。以前我々はこの方向でC^〜2*ファイブレーションを持つホモロジー平面を分類した。他方一般型の曲線を調べるのに適当な不変量を導入し、不変量によって分類した後、個々のものについて更に詳しく調べると言うことがよく行われる。この様な不変量としてChern数がある。今我々の考えているホモロジー平面は開曲面なのでChern数は有理数になるが、開曲面についても宮岡-Yau型の不等式が成り立つことは知られている。この不等式をホモロジー平面にたいしていいかえると、c^2_1≦3となるが、今年度の研究で我々はいろいろなホモロジー平面のChern数を計算しいくつかの興味ある事実を発見した。まずc^〜2*ファイブレーションを持つホモロジー平面については、c^2_1≦2がなりたつこと、および各タイプについてc12が2に収束する系列があることがわかった。またtom Dieckによって与えられたC^〜3*ファイブレーションを持つホモロジー平面の例についてはc^2_1≦5/2が成り立つこと、特にSteiner quartic から作られるホモロジー平面についてはC^2_1が実際に5/2に収束する例のあることもわかった。今後有理曲線によるファイブレーションとChern数の関係を調べること、Chern数が3に収束するようなホモロジー平面が存在するかどうかを調べることなどが次の課題として残された。
