The research focus of the group is in solid state chemical synthesis of oxidic and intermetallic compounds with a focus on (i) reactivity ofsolids and (ii) interdisciplinary research on structure-property relationships. The goal of our work is the development of magnetic model systems, which are related to current theoretical questions. The basic characterization of the compounds by means of magnetic investigation methods and the specific heat contribute decisively to this.
