1.バナッハ空間の「von Neumann-Jordan定数」(以下「NJ-定数」と略記)について、特に「NJ-定数」の与える情報に関してはvon Neumann-Jordanの古典的な結果を除けば皆無であった。本研究では,Banach空間の一様凸性,uniform non-squareness等の幾何学的な性質,またsuper-reflexivity,(Rademacher)type,cotype等が「NJ-定数」で記述されることを示した(Proc.Amer.Math.Soc.京都大学数理解析研究所講究録;発表予定)。また「uniform non-squarenessに関する一連の特徴づけ」を与えたが,この結果は良く知られた「一様凸性のHomogeneousな特徴づけ」と類似のそれを含む(Preprint)。2.加藤・高橋は「Clarkson(型)不等式を満たすBanach空間」を「type或いはcotype定数が1の空間」として特徴づけ(Math.Nachr.;発表予定),その応用として「ランダムClarkson不等式」を大幅に改良(Hiroshima Math.J.;発表予定)したが,さらにこの不等式を満たすBanach空間を「type p」として特徴づけ,「ランダムClarkson不等式」そのものの意味合いを明らかにした(Preprint)。また,TongeがランダムClarkson不等式を与える契機となった「一般Clarkson不等式」をLebesgue-Bochner空間に対して考察し,従来の結果を包含するより包括的な結果を得た(Bull.Kyushu Inst.Tech.Math.Natur.Sci.43(1996),15-25)。3.以上の成果の一部を秋春の数学会,数理解析研究所研究集会,実解析セミナー,第4回関数空間セミナー等で発表した。

The Banach space "type p" inequality means that the Preprint is equivalent to the "Preprint" inequality. In this paper, we compare the Clarkson inequality and the general Clarkson inequality to the Lebesgue-Bochner space travel test. The recent results contain the results obtained by Bull.Kyushu Inst.Tech.Math.Natur.Sci.43 (1996), 15-25). 3. The above achievements include a mathematical society in autumn and spring, a research rally in the Institute of Mathematical Analysis, a research conference in analytical mathematics, and a list of tables such as the fourth round of numerical space traps.
