英文摘要
We promoted our research program in order to reconstruct a secular variation of marine Os isotopes by using umber deposits in the Japanese accretionary complexes. Consequently, we are successful in reconstructing a secular variation curve of marine Os isotopes since 〜350 Ma. We have obtained the following results.We published the paper entitled "Major and trace element geochemistry and Os isotopic composition of metalliferous umbers from the Late Cretaceous Japanese accretionary complex" in Geochemistry Geophysics Geosystem (2005). In addition, we published three papers concerning geochemistry of metalliferous umbers and associated greenstones in the Northern Chichibu Belt, central Shikoku, Japan and their depositional age in Resource Geology Special Issue entitled "Seafloor Processes and Related Mineralization in the Panthalassa : The Phanerozoic Records from the Japanese Accretionary Complexes - Part I".We have submitted the paper entitled "Umbers in the Tertiary accretionary complex of Japan : A recorder of Os isotopic composition of ancient seawater" to Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta that is the top journal of Earth science research field. Further, we have submitted the paper entitled "Haematite formation by oxygenated ground-water more than 2.76 billion years ago" to Nature. This paper is concerning about Re-Os dating. In addition, we prepare another paper entitled "Marine Os isotope record during the Cretaceous : Evidence from metalliferous umbers in the Japanese and Omani accretionary complexes" to be submitted to Earth and Planetary Science Letters.
