项目摘要

本研究では、日本の特許データをもとに、大学が企業の特許の生産性に与える因果関係としての影響力について、操作変数法や構造推定といった強い仮定を必要とする推定手法ではなく、弱い仮定のみを用いる部分識別法を用いて識別推定することを目的とした。燃料電池関連特許データを対象として分析を行った結果、単調処置選択の仮定のもと、いくつかの企業属性を単調操作変数と仮定して分析した場合、大学との共同出願は企業の特許生産性に対して正の因果効果をもたらすこと可能性がシャープバウンドとして示された。ただ、分析はいくつかの点で不完全であり、次の段階として、企業属性について傾向スコアマッチング等によって属性を揃えたグループに対して部分識別を行う。一方で平成28年度は以上の分析と同時並行して教育付加価値の多様性を捉えられ、様々な大学院教育の分析に応用できる政策分析ツールとしての推定方法を用いて、大学院教員各個人の教育付加価値を推定する評価手法の開発について検討した。これら二つの研究は大学の生み出す「付加価値」を分析することを目的としているといった部分で共通している。また、自然実験的状況に必ずしも依存しない手法であるという意味で、大学の有用性について説明責任を果たすことを目的とした実践的な推定手法のフレームワークとして汎用的であるといった点も共通している。したがってこれら二つの研究は大学が生み出す付加価値の実証分析として統合できることが判明したため、本研究課題の拡張を企図し、若手研究（B）に前年度申請をした。結果、研究課題が採択されたため、本研究課題を1年前倒して終了させ、平成29年度からは両者を同時並行して研究活動を進めている。
