本研究プロジェクトは、挑戦的萌芽研究の合格に伴い最終年を残しての終了となる。本研究期間での主だった成果は以下の3点である:1. 脳の広域ネットワーク上での電気伝達現象に関する解析を進めてきた。その際、脳広域の構造接続データ、脳広域で計測したECoG データ、ニューロンのSpike データらを有機的に結びつけるスキームを構築し、その伝搬速度が約1.0-1.5m/sである事、電気伝搬は最短パスを95%程度の割合で用いている事などを明らかとした。2. ミクロ回路側でのネットワーク解析の研究も前進している。これまで電気生理学実験でのin vitro と in vivo のデータを対象としていた手法を、in vivo の蛍光イメージングデータにも適用して、行動パラメーターやマクロな接続構造との比較を行った[Nakamura, Shimono, 2017]。3. ミクロ回路のシミュレーションにおいて、多ニューロンのトポロジーもしくは皮質の層構造などの拘束条件を自然と与えた上で、発火率が対数正規(log-normal)分布に従う様なダイナミクスから非自明な他の動的特性が生じるメカニズムの解明を行った。1の成果は、国際学会であるNetSci2017学会においてfeatured talkとしての発表も行った。1, 2の成果は、国内学会、日本神経科学学会でのセッションを受け持ち口答発表を行い、国際学会OCNSでも発表を行った。また、1の成果は論文としてまとまり、bioArxivに公開した上で査読を進めており[Shimono, Hatano, 2017]、2,3の成果の論文を準備中である。総じて、数理シミュレーションの基盤の構築から非自明な発見への道筋が付けられた。
