The Skill Formation and Career Ladders for Young Fixed-Term Workers : Toward Labour Market Reform

本研究旨在揭示企业和年轻固定期限员工在技能形成和职业阶梯方面的激励条件和行为。根据实证研究，(1)每周工作超过40小时(全职)的年轻固定期限员工在服务部门获得了一定条件下的技能。但是(2)他们中很少有人改变身份成为正式工人。(3)对于那些仍然是固定期限工人的人，可能需要作为公共政策的体制支持或保护。

This research seeks to reveal incentive conditions and actions of both firms and young fixed-term workers about the skill formation and career ladders.According to the empirical research, (1) young fixed-term workers who work more than 40 hours per week (full-time) have gained skills under certain conditions in service sectors. But (2) few of them has changed their status into regular workers. (3)Institutional support or protection as public policy might be needed for those who remain as fixed-term workers.
