My chapter applying settlement scaling theory to Carchemish is nearing completion and will soon be published in the volume "Cities in West Asia and North Africa through the Ages, II: The Shapes and Functions of Cities in Ancient Mesopotamia and Its Surroundings." My study of monument reception 1 Kings 12 has been accepted for presentation at this year's annual meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature in November, and it will be published as a journal article in a special issue of Avar later this year. My monograph dealing with monumentality and its reception in the ancient Levant was accepted for publication by Cambridge University Press and is nearing the end of its production process.
