本年度は、1874年に阮朝とフランスとの間で締結された第二次サイゴン条約による北部ベトナムの開港について、下記の諸点に着目して研究を進めた。まず、開港が在来交易秩序に与えた影響を明らかにすべく、開港場に指定されたハイフォンとともに、当時非開港場ながら多くの華人商人を引き付け繁栄していたタイビン省の茶里港の交易状況を検討した。これにより、対外交易をハイフォンに集約させるため、フランスが茶里を含む非開港場でのジャンク船貿易に強い圧力をかけていたことを立証した。次に開港場に出現した新しい交易管理システムを解明するため、仏越が合同で管理する海関の分析に取り組んだ。分析の結果、海関のスタッフ構成、収入規模および運営をめぐる仏越の様々な対立を浮かび上がらせることができた。そのうえで、海関で記録された輸出入統計を利用し、開港による交易パターンの変化を検討した。その結果、開港の後、ハイフォンには香港経由で日本銅が輸入されており、その一部が阮朝の鋳銭事業に利用されていたことが明らかとなった。ここから、17世紀に行われていた日本銅の輸入が、18～19世紀前半の中断を挟んだのち、開港によって再び活性化したことを解明した。以上の分析を進めるにあたり、既存の漢文・フランス語文書に徹底的な分析を加えたほか、ハノイにある国立第一公文書館で阮朝の行政文書を閲覧・複写した。また研究成果の一部を、2022年10月に開催された国際学会（International conference “FROM THE PORT TO THE WORLD:A Global History of Indochinese Ports)において、英語で報告した。

As a result, Hong Kong's economy has been growing rapidly since the beginning of the year. In the 17th century, copper was imported from Japan. In the first half of the 18th and 19th centuries, copper was interrupted and activated. The above analysis is carried out in detail in the existing Chinese language books. The first National Public Library of China reads and copies the administrative documents of the Ruan Dynasty. The first part of the research results was published in October 2022 by the International Conference "From the Port TO THE World:A Global History of Indochinese Ports".
