本研究は、奈良県内外の遺跡出土奈良三彩陶器を網羅的に分析し、その特徴から出土遺跡間での比較、分類を試みることにより、奈良三彩の生産、流通を考察する手がかりとするための基礎的研究である。本研究の目的は、奈良三彩の生産地を解明するための第一歩として、胎土を中心に自然科学分析による材質調査を行い、①個々の資料の特徴を明らかにすること、②①の結果と考古学的見解を併せて胎土の分類に有効な指標を明らかにすること、③奈良県内外の出土品を比較して有意差の有無を明らかにすることである。本研究では、蛍光Ｘ線分析などによる非破壊分析を行い、分析結果に器種や製作時期といった考古学的見解を加え、それらを元にクラスター分析などにより統計的な評価を行う。初年度である本年は、分析データの蓄積および県外資料の調査・分析を中心に実施した。①②については、奈良県内遺跡の出土品について蛍光Ｘ線分析、顕微鏡観察を行いデータの蓄積を継続している。現時点で、平城京周辺（奈良市）と県中南部地域の遺跡では、胎土組成にやや差異が現れる可能性があることが分かった。これについては、今後慎重に検討を重ねていく。また、SPring-8における放射光を用いた微量重元素分析を行うにあたり、方法を検討し試料を選定している。③については、本年度は３県の奈良三彩を実見調査し、一部分析を実施した。なお、分析結果は学会にて報告した。引き続き調査・分析を行うとともに、分析結果をまとめ総合的に検討していく。

This research is aimed at analyzing the Nara tricolor pottery unearthed in and around Nara Prefecture, comparing and classifying the characteristics of the pottery unearthed in and around Nara Prefecture, and investigating the production and circulation of Nara tricolor pottery. The purpose of this study is to clarify the production site of Nara Sancai, to conduct a material survey in the center of natural science analysis of the soil, to clarify the characteristics of the data, to clarify the archaeological insights, to clarify the classification of the soil, to clarify the indicators, and to compare the excavations inside and outside Nara. This study is based on X-ray analysis, non-destructive analysis, archaeological insights, and statistical evaluation of the results of the analysis. In the beginning of this year, the analysis of the accumulation of data and the investigation and analysis of data were carried out.①②The present point, Heijō Keisuke (Nara City) and the ruins of the central and southern regions are different. The possibility of the difference in soil composition is different. This is the first time that we have been careful to discuss this issue. SPring-8 is used to analyze trace elements. 3. This year's survey of Nara's three colors has been conducted, and a part of the analysis has been conducted. The results of the analysis are reported to the Institute. The results of the investigation and analysis are discussed in detail.
