2022年度は、主に3つの作業を進めた。第一に、社会運動の活発化と運動政党の台頭の背景となる、1990年の民主化以降のチリのマクロな政治・社会状況の変化について、各種統計資料・指標、世論調査などを用いながら把握することに努めた。第二に、運動政党がどのような社会運動組織（特に学生運動組織）から生まれ・変化・発展してきたのか、その人的・組織的な起源と、変化・発展のプロセスについて明らかにすることを目指した。具体的には、チリの新聞記事や学生運動の組織資料を収集し、起源となる人物・組織を特定し、その人物の言動、組織の変容を追った。また、源流となる社会運動組織を立ち上げ、現在運動政党のイデオローグとされる人物に対するインタビューも実施し、その思想的背景や、運動政党に至るまでの関わりについて聞き取りを行った。第三に、社会運動と運動政党の協力関係について、新聞記事を用いていかなる局面でいかなる協力が行われているのか、事実の整理を行った。さらに、抗議行動に関するイベントデータを用いて、抗議行動における運動政党による動員や社会運動組織との関わりについて探った。上記の3つの作業から明らかにした内容の概略は次の通りである。民主化に際して既存政党と歩調を合わせた主要な社会運動組織に対して、既存政党とは異なる新しい政治社会経済モデルを志向する一部の社会運動組織が、2000年代に学生運動を通じて勢力を拡大させ、2010年代には政党へと転化させた。政党への転化に際しては、組織内部の異なる世代間の影響や協力が重要な役割を果たしていた。活発化する社会運動との連携を維持しながらも、シンクタンクを立ち上げることで政策的基盤を確保・強化しつつ、選挙制度改革によって開かれた国政進出の機会を活かし、既存政治に不満を持つ人々へのアプローチも行う形で、政党として成長を遂げた。
