PICUでの患者・家族中心のEnd-of-Life Careにおける家族-看護師の協働的パートナーシップの看護介入モデルの開発に向けた混合研究法による調査に先立ち、「家族-看護師の協働的パートナーシップの実践評価尺度」開発における予備調査のインタビューの分析結果から、本研究に関連する次の2点の課題が明確化され、文献レビューを追加実施し、混合研究法による研究目的および調査内容を再検討した。課題の1点目は、小児医療領域における患者・家族中心のケアを実践する上での障壁に関することであった。特に新型コロナウイルス感染症流行による家族の面会およびケア参加の制限の長期化は、家族-看護師の協働的パートナーシップの実践にも重大な影響を与えることは明らかであり、これらの影響要因を考慮した調査計画の見直しを行った。2点目の課題は、小児の集中治療領域に関する看護基礎教育内容の実態と、PICUにおいて求められる看護実践内容の乖離の問題に関することであり、家族-看護師の協働的パートナーシップを実現するために看護師に必要とされるコミュニケーションスキルの教育や成熟のプロセスに関する考察と文献レビューを追加実施した。患者・家族中心のケアとその基盤となる家族-看護師の協働的パートナーシップによる看護介入モデルの実装に強く関連する2点の課題を検討し、混合研究法による研究目的および調査内容といった調査計画を再考した。今後、量的データと質的データの両側面からデータを収集し、看護師の行為のプロセスと構造に関する分析をすすめ、より臨床実践に即した看護介入モデルの開発へと計画の実行を進める予定である。
