We investigated the effects of the physical fitness on the thermoregulation during the cold exposure and the residential differences in using habits of the heater and in the clothes weight.1. The effects of the physical training on thermoregulation during the cold exposureThe ability of thermoregulation in the cold environments (10℃, 15℃) was improved by physical training which performed over 8 weeks. Although the rectal temperature showed the decrement of 0.2℃ before the physical training, it did not show such a decrement after physical training.2. The effects of the physical training on autonomic nerves system during the cold exposureThe results of the heart rate variability showed that the autonomic nerves system was affected and activated by the cold stress. A significant decline in the baroreflex sensitivity by the cold stress resulted from the vasoconstriction of the skin as one of the thermoregulation responses. So, these results suggested that the thermoregulation was bound up with the cardiovascular responses and the regulation of the autonomic nerves system.3. The relationship between the physical fitness and the peripheral vasomotor during whole body cold exposureThe correlation between the diameter of blood vessel (DBV) and skin temperature of the backhand was significant, so the measurement of DBV was useful in order to estimate individual's thermoregulation ability. Also there was seemed to trend of a relation between a variation of DBV and V_<O2>max. It was suggested an ability of vasoconstriction was improved by physical training.4. The residential differences in using habits of the heater and in the clothes weightThe results of the using time of the heater and the clothes weight in winter were different by residence area. So, we thought that it was necessary the considerations of residence and the body conditions of the adaptation to the cold.
