The simulation tool that deals with building planning and management and also has the characteristics of the coupling of thermal and air flow model are developed.The simulation system consists of SimCAD which generates and translates CAD data, PREBID which specifies the building material property and the occupant schedule, etc., TRNSYS which does the dynamic simulation, COMIS, multizone air flow model, and IISiBat which is the user interface.The results are ; 1) The simulation and the experiment of test house : The test house is equipped several passive cooling system. The comparison shows the agreement and the system can simulate the behavior of the test house. 2) The calculation of an actual house by TRNSYS/COMIS : The air age are measured by step down method and COMIS and TRNSYS/COMIS coupling simulations are executed. The results agree between measurement and calculation reasonably, and the simple measuring method is proved effective to evaluate ventilation effectiveness under certain conditions.After some experiments and simulations, the thermal and air flow simulation system applied with the concept of object oriented are capable to simulate the behavior of building.
