10月および11月の2回に渡り研究協力者の参加のもと、回腸嚢炎の診断基準作成のための新プロジェクトおよび国際会議開催に向けて以下の準備を行った。1、「Pouchitisアトラス」作成に向けた取り組み:診断基準は臨床症状、内視鏡所見、生検組織診断より構成されると考えられるが、特に内視鏡所見が診断、重症度判定、治療効果の判定に重要と考えられる。しかし、症例の集積がいまだ十分とは言えないPouchitisでは必ずしも内視鏡所見に対する所見の捕らえ方が施設間で一定していない。そこで、代表的な所見を集めた「Pouchtitisアトラス」の作成が必要であると判断した。2、所見項目決定のための予備的検討:内視鏡所見を診断基準にもりこむ際の項目を決定するために、同一の内視鏡写真を別個に評価しそのばらつきから所見項目の適切さを評価することとした。具体的な項目は、厚生労働省難治性腸管障害調査研究班試案およびPouchitis Disease Activity Index (PDAI)の項目を参考とした。3、生検組織の位置付け:予備的検討として正常から高度の炎症まで様々な病変をPDAIの組織学的班定基準にもとづいて判定し、組織学的判定基準の有用性について検討するため、生検組織およびHE染色プレパラートを用意した。診断基準を確立した後に、その診断基準を検証すると同時に、前向き研究により、我が国における実態を各施設の協力のもとに行うというプロジェクトを立案した。
