Effects of Food Restriction during Puberty and Pregnant Period on the Maternal Body and Growth of Progeny

研究了大鼠青春期及青春期妊娠期限食对母体及子代生长发育的影响。我们准备了三组7周龄雌性大鼠：一组（CC组）自由饲喂（10%酪蛋白和10%大豆蛋白饲料），两组限食组（CR组）比CC组少饲喂30%至青春期（CR组）或青春期-妊娠期（RR组）。限食动物和自由喂养动物成对饲养。各组妊娠大鼠均维持妊娠，正常分娩和哺乳。与CC组相比，RC组青春期限食对母鼠身体和初生幼崽及断奶子代的生长发育无显著影响。与CC组相比，RR组在青春期至妊娠期的食物限制降低了母体体重增加和腹部脂肪重量。RR组新生幼犬的体重和器官重量均显著低于CC组。出生后3周，与CC组相比，RR组断奶子代的生长发育迟缓。综上所述，发育期的食物限制对母体的身体和后代的生长有显著影响。

The effects of food restriction in rats through puberty or puberty- pregnancy period on the maternal body and growth of the progeny were studied. We prepared three groups of 7 weeks old female rats : one group (CC group) fed ad libitum (10% casein and 10% soy protein diet) and two food-restricted groups fed 30% less than the CC group through puberty (CR group) or puberty-pregnancy period (RR group). The food-restricted and ad libitum- fed animals were pair-fed. All groups of pregnant rats maintained pregnancy and performed normal delivery and lactation. Food restriction through puberty did not affect remarkably on the maternal body and growth of the newborn pups and weaning progeny of RC group in comparison with the CC group. Food restriction through puberty-pregnancy period reduced the maternal body weight gain and the abdominal fat weight of the RR group when compared with the CC group. The body weight and organ weight of newborn pups in the RR group were significantly lower than those of the CC group. At 3 weeks after birth retarded growth was observed in the weaning progeny of the RR group in comparison with the CC group. We conclude that the food restriction through puberty-pregnant period markedly affected the maternal body and growth of the progeny.
