Study on Arabic and Latin texts on Islamic astronomy

我们于 2004 年出版了 10 世纪天文学家卡比西的占星学著作，作为瓦尔堡研究所研究与文本的第二卷。《占星学概论》包含基于八份手稿的阿拉伯语版本、英文译本、12 世纪的拉丁语译本，以及阿拉伯-拉丁语和拉丁-阿拉伯语词汇表。其中仅保留了他的论文的拉丁文版本，即《De coniunctionibusplanetarum in duodecimsignisetearumpro》，作为附录，附有英文译本。至于他的天文学论文，关于测试那些自称占星家的人的论文，阿拉伯文本和英文翻译都已基本完成，其中有一些有疑问的部分。至于关于距离和物体的论文，阿拉伯文本已基本完成，但英文翻译尚未完成。至于对法尔加尼天文著作的注释，即对《章节之书》的解释，独特手稿的状况并不好。我们在编辑阿拉伯文本方面进展甚微。由于我们发现法加尼的著作本身在多个手稿之间存在许多差异，因此有必要在处理卡比西的评论之前对文本进行编辑。

We have published the astrological text of al-Qabisi, an astronomer of 10^<th> century, as the second volume of Warburg Institute Studies and Texts in 2004. The Introduction to Astrology contains an Arabic edition based on eight manuscripts, its English translation, and an edition of the Latin translation made in 12^<th> century, together with glossaries of Arabic-Latin and Latin-Arabic. And it has an edition of his treatise preserved in Latin only, i.e. De coniunctionibus planetarum in duodecim signis et earum pro, as an appendix with an English translation.As for his astronomical treatise, the treatise on the testing of those who call themselves astrologers, both the Arabic text and the English translation are almost completed with some queationable parts.As for treatise on distances and bodies, an Arabic text is almost completed, but the English translation is not finished yet.As for a commentary on al-Farghani's astronomical work, i.e. the explanation of the Book of the Chapters, the condition of the unique manuscript is not good. We made little progress in editing the Arabic text. Since we found that the work of al-Farghani itself had many variations among several manuscripts, it is necessary to edit the text before working on the Qabisi's commentary.
