研究目的:卒後専門教育において適切な診断、治療能力を有する矯正歯科担当医を養成すると同時に、卒前矯正歯科教育では、一般歯科医としての明瞭な枠組みの内容を意識したカリキュラムによる教育を行う必要性が強く示唆されている。歯学部における卒前教育内容と専門医教育と関連した卒後教育に関して枠組みを設けた教育ガイドラインを設定することは重要である。そのような目的で、EUプロジェククトのモデルとされているスカンジナビアの制度とそれに関連した卒前、卒後教育それぞれのカリキュラムと同時にわが国の現状について公開セミナーを行う。それによって、歯科矯正治療のシステムや歯科専門教育に対する認識を高めると同時に、具体的な卒前、卒後歯科矯正学教育標準参考カリキュラム検討についての足がかりとすることを目的とした。具体的研究実績:(1)EUにおける「ERASMUS」「EURO-QUAL」「DentEd」プロジェクトと現地の卒前、卒後矯正歯科教育の現状と教育システム、カリキュラム内容について現地調査を行った。(2)わが国の現状について日本矯正歯科学会教育委員会によって行われた調査結果とスカンジナビアにおける歯科矯正学専門教育および歯学部教育について、日本矯正学会と連携して検討を加え、報告資料を作成した。(3)「EURO-QUAL」「DentEd」の中心メンバーであるStenvicオスロ大学主任教授と、PBL歯学教育マルメモデルのBondemarkマルメ大学主任助教授を招聘し、わが国の矯正歯科の卒前、卒後教育カリキュラムについてレビューを依頼すると同時に、両海外共同研究者とわが国を代表する歯科矯正学教育指導者らによる公開セミナー「わが国の今後の卒前、卒後歯科矯正学教育を考える」を、全国から多数の参加者を得て開催した(2004年2月27日:於新潟市)結論:卒前、卒後歯科矯正学教育は、社会における歯科矯正治療の位置づけや専門医制度とのかかわりを深く持つ。卒後専門教育および卒前の教育について十分な考慮を払って議論を行い、各教育施設間の交流を積極的に進め、歯科矯正学教育のみならず歯科矯正治療のクオリティ向上をはかることが求められている。

Objective: To strengthen the necessity of post-mortem orthodontic education, including appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic abilities, as well as pre-mortem orthodontic education, and general dental education, to clarify the contents of post-mortem orthodontic education. The content of pre-mortem education and post-mortem education in the Department of Medicine is related to the design of the education system. The purpose of the EU is to establish a system for pre-and post-mortem education, and at the same time to establish the status quo of the country. The purpose of this study is to improve the understanding of dental orthodontic treatment and dental education, and to provide reference for specific standards of pre-and post-mortem dental orthodontic education. Specific research results:(1)EU "ERASMUS""EURO-QUAL""DentEd""survey on the status quo of local pre-and post-mortem orthodontic education, education system and content. (2)The present situation of the country is reflected in the survey results conducted by the Education Committee of the Japanese Orthodontic Society and the report data prepared by the Education Committee of the Department of Orthodontics and the Department of Dental Education of the Japanese Orthodontic Society. (3)"EURO-QUAL""DentEd" Center for Orthodontic Education "Director Professor of the University of Stenvic" and "Bondemark" Assistant Director Professor of the University of PBL Dental Education "Recruitment" and "Overseas Co-Investigator" and "Representative of the State" and "Director of Orthodontic Education in the Future" Post-mortem Orthodontic Education Examination "held in Niigata City on February 27, 2004. Conclusion: Post-mortem Orthodontic Education and Society are in the same position as Orthodontic Treatment in the Department of Orthodontics. Post-mortem education and pre-mortem education should be carefully considered, discussions should be conducted, exchanges between various educational facilities should be actively promoted, and dental orthodontic education and treatment should be actively promoted.
