水平的資本提携については、寡占産業において企業１が他の企業にない優れた知識を持っており、それが他社よりも低い生産コストに反映されているという設定のもとで、企業１と競争関係にある他の企業２との提携を、企業２が外国企業で、貿易コストがコスト差の要因となる場合について需要関数が線形のケースの理論分析を進めた。分析の過程で、国内企業が一社ではなく、企業１Aと企業１Bの２社があり、この２社の生産コスト優位性に違いがある場合を分析することで、より意義深い競争政策への含意が得られることが明らかとなったため、企業１Aの生産コストのほうが企業１Bのそれよりも低いという仮定のもと、国境をまたがる３社間の分析を進めた。均衡において、外国企業と提携するのは企業１Aの場合と企業１Bの場合があるなど、興味深い中間分析結果が得られた。水平的資本提携と人的資本投資に関しては、複数企業が製品市場において競争すると同時に、労働市場においても競争する寡占産業において、企業の労働市場におけるマーケットパワーを表すパラメターを複数モデルに入れ込むと同時に企業の製品市場におけるマーケットパワーを表すパラメターをもモデルに入れ込むなど、提携企業間の部分的結合分析の前提となる基本モデルの分析が進んだ。垂直的資本提携に関しては、垂直的品質差別化財（高品質財と低品質財）を生産して競争する２企業が共通の中間財供給川上企業と資本提携する場合を分析することの意義が見出され、分析の基本モデルに関する検討が進んだ。
