産業組織論の主要テーマである企業間競争と企業の境界に関して、新たな視点から分析することが本研究の課題である。令和4年度は、長引く新型コロナの影響による遅れが避けられなかったものの、目的達成に向けての分析が進み，成果の取りまとめが進んだ。森田(研究代表者)が佐藤(研究分担者)および研究協力者であるGhosh(UNSW)と共同で進める製品市場と労働市場の相互連関分析に関しては、特定モデルを用いることのない一般的なモデル分析が進んだ。比較静学分析については、企業の労働市場における市場支配力だけでなく製品市場のそれについても一般性を損なうことなく分析が可能であることがわかり、分析が進んだ。さらに、モデル分析結果の競争政策への含意についても検討が進んだ。また、労働者が職場を選択する意思決定も離散選択モデルを用いて分析する研究が主流であることを踏まえ、労働者の行動を離散選択として分析する考えかたをモデルに取り入れることができた。一方、Ghoshの一橋大学招聘中に、個人の利他性と企業における意思決定権限の移譲との間の関係を企業が製品市場においてあげる利益との関連のもとに分析することの新規性と重要性が明らかとなり、その方向での理論分析が進んだ。また、多国籍企業の移転価格に関する意思決定と国の境界を跨る技術ライセンシング戦略に関して、国際寡占モデルにおける分析が石川（研究分担者）を中心に進み、査読付き国際学術雑誌に公刊された。一方、アイデンティティが企業組織において果たす役割に関する実験結果を踏まえて書き進めた論文については、査読付き国際学術雑誌への投稿に向けた準備が最終段階まで進んだ。また、この論文を推進する過程で生まれた企業の境界と従業員の公平感の関係に関する研究につき、実験デザインを完成させた。
