1.本研究の目的は、二人の話者の発話リズムがどのように相互に影響を及ぼしあうかを解明することである。発話リズムを最も直接的に反映する音声特徴として、発話速度、ポーズ長、音声の基本周波数と振幅の4つのパラメータに着目し、これらが話者間の相互作用の結果どのように変化するかを明らかにすることを目的とする。平成5年度の研究実施計画は、音声データの収録を行うことであった。そして、計画どおり音声データの収録を完了した。データ収録の際には、被験者に対する指示や発話テキストの表示は、NeXTワークステーション用に開発されたカスタムソフトウエアを使用し、実験はインタラクティブに進めた。発話テキストは、個数の文から成るパラグラフとし、(a)一人の被験者が通してパラグラフを読む、(b)ある特定の話者がパラグラフの一部を読み、被験者がそのあとを続けて読む、という2種類の実験条件のもとで録音を行った。音声データは、DATに録音し、AD変換してワークステーションの外部メモリ(光磁気ディスク)に蓄積した。さらに、収録されたデータの一部について、予備的な解析を行い、いくつかの新しい知見を得ることができた。すなわち、(〓)先行話者をひきついで発話した場合、どの話者も、文長やポーズ長が自分固有の値から逸脱すること、(〓)文長とポーズ長では先行話者の発話の影響の現れかたが異なること、などの点が明らかにされた。本年度の研究成果より、当初の計画に沿って「話者間相互作用」に関する研究を進めることの妥当性・有用性が確かめられた。本年度は、さらに音声の基本周波数と振幅についても解析を行う計画である。そして、最終的には、これら4つの音響パラメータに現れる相互作用の諸相を総合的に捉えた上で、話者間相互作用のメカニズムの定式化を試みたい。
