本年度の研究成果を挙げると、下記の通りである。1)韓国全羅北道の中規模河川である万頃江の右岸流域水田に灌漑用水を供給している全北農地改良組合に所蔵されている一次資料を、昨年に引き続き精読した。重要な事実関係に関してノートを作成し、また、必要に応じてデータベースを作成した。2)同時代の新聞記事や雑誌記事を収集し、上記の一時資料の記述と照らし合わせることで、組合内の出来事だけにとどまらず、地域全体の同行の中に水利事業を位置付ける試みをおこなった。3)以上の作業を踏まえて、旧韓末から1940年代に至る万頃江流域の農業水利開発に関するモノグラフを執筆投稿した。「植民地朝鮮における農業用水開発と水利秩序の改編--萬頃江流域を中心として--」『朝鮮史研究会論文集』第41集、として公表されている。1910年代に設立された4つの小規模水利組合が、1920年代以降に合併を繰り返し、最終的に1941年に全北水利組合(現全北農地改良組合の直接の前身)に統合されて行く過程を、地域間の対立と調停という視点から分析したものである。水利組合内部の動向だけでなく、対立の調停者として朝鮮総督府や地方行政機関が重要な役割を果たしていたことにも着目した。4)上で述べた論文を執筆した際に用いた資料以外にも、未利用の資料が充分に残されている。現在、それらの資料を改めて精読し、新しい分析視点を検討している。
