英文摘要
We tried to measure the anti-oxidization activity of living organism using a few active oxygen species induced by microwave exposure that induce ultra weak bioluminescence (called biophoton). The biophoton is weak chemiluminescence originated from the active oxygen species. The active oxygen species are highly toxic, and inactivated by anti-oxidization system (some enzymes and antioxidants) of living organism. So if we can generate the active oxygen species in living organism, we can measure the anti-oxidization activity by the biophoton measurement. Some researchers report that microwave exposure induced some active oxygen species. Thus we made the microwave applicator for biophoton measurement, and confirmed the increment of biophoton emission induced by microwave exposure.Furthermore, we measured the biophoton emission under the heat shock occurred by an electric heater to investigate the heat shock that was the main effect of microwave exposure. As the results, faster temperature rise induced stronger biophoton emission. So, we concluded the main effect of microwave exposure was the localized quicker heating.
