项目摘要

本重点領域研究において評価作業班に課せられた任務は、研究組織全体の作業の進行度のモニターならびに助言と、その作業の前提として、世界におけるイスラーム都市研究の成果を蒐集・分析することにある。モニターならびに助言に関しては、研究代表者・協力者とも、できる限り多く各班の研究会に出席してモニターと助言に努めた。助言は原則として、出席した研究会の席上口頭で行なった。しかし実際には出席できない研究会が多く、このような場合の助言については苦慮している。すでに初年度(昭和63年度)から、あらかじめ総括班会議または全体会議で各班の研究計画および問題意識を聞き、類似または関連する問題を扱う研究会については、二つ以上の班の合同研究会とすることを勧告してきた。その結果はきわめて効果的で、各班メンバーの知識と問題意識を深めることに大いに貢献した。世界におけるイスラーム都市研究の成果の蒐集・分析に関しては、専門図書と学術雑誌に掲載された研究論文のコピーの入手に努めた。今年度購入した専門図書は洋書95冊と他に地図18葉、入手した研究論文と購入できない図書のコピーは約200点で、これ等を通じて知り得た海外における最近の研究動向の若干は、出席した研究会の席上紹介した。研究論文のコピーは仮製本のうえ、専門図書のうち論文集所収の論文とともにパソコンに入力して、執筆者名のほか、時代・地域・主題その他で検索できるようにした。この作業は昨年度から引き続き継続しているもので、当重点領域研究の終了後、同様な作業を進めている他の若干の班の作業結果と合体させることにより、きわめて有用なビブリオグラフィーとなるであろう。この作業は次年度も重点的に進められる。
